CEO for Young Enterprise Visit Bonus Pastor
BackThe Company Programme (Young Enterprise) has been running in our school for a few years. It provides a real-life learning opportunity that introduces young people to the realities of the world of work. Students set up and run their own student company and they compete with other schools in trade-fairs and competitions.
Each year the team/companies are very successful (and profitable), often creating unique products.
We were delighted to host the following people last week:
- William Salomon OBE – UK President YE
- Sarah Poretta - CEO for YE
- Donna Wells - Director of Development YE
- Ruth Sullivan - YE Educational Partnerships Manager
The visitors spoke to participants of the Company Programme to understand the impact and benefits of YE on young people. Year 11 and Year 10 students presented to our guests and held a Q&A session afterwards. The students talked about the creative process, achievements and challenges.
The feedback from our guests were:
“The young people all did an amazing job, watching the current year walk in so nervous and then pitch to 4 strangers was just amazing. Will you pass on our immense gratitude to the school for being so generous with their time, it was a real honour to visit them.”
Thank you to the following students for taking part on the day:
- Year 10 - Conan Beirne, Zuzanna Suder and Victoria Oyeye
- Year 11 – Alexandra Stephenson, Erin O'Keeffe, Kene Igweonu, Mark Nwaru and Eugene Pratt
