We have recently launched the use of Bedrock across the school.

What is Bedrock?

Bedrock Learning was founded in 2015 by two English teachers who saw the impact vocabulary had on outcomes in their classroom. Bedrock Vocabulary was designed to narrow the word gap and give all learners the language they need to thrive in school and beyond.

Please watch the video below which gives you an insight into how bedrock works and why we use it. There are a range of uses for this programme and it will allow you to stay better informed of your child’s progress for literacy and other revision activities associated with a wide range of subjects. Also, there is an explanation of what students see when they engage with bedrock using their Chromebooks.
