Year 8 Making Savoury Rice Last Week

Chukwunonso was unable to take part in last week's practical lesson due to an injury but still wanted to be a part of the lesson so he wrote this great article. Great work, Chefs!

THE MASTERS OF COOKING - Savoury Rice

The aroma of the food was magnificent, the swish and the bubbling of the food. Onions, carrots, and rice mixed together, pleasing the nose. I could see people adding the carrots into the pot, mixing the food together.

I could hear people going at it like professionals. The smell of everyone's food was slapping my face, the onions making me cry joyful tears. I could hear the sizzling of the food. I know it will taste amazing. I am so jealous of the kids.

Some kids were almost done, some were not. I could only wait for the food to finish so I could taste it myself. I could see the kids' faces, just waiting to dig in when it was done. They were putting lids on it and cooking it faster. The coordination was magnificent. People mixing while the other person was adding broth. While someone was checking the food, while the other was also washing. It was a sight to see.

The food was as stunning as can be, looking at it just made me want to eat. The aroma was so sweet, along with the coordination, so neat. This Food Tech room was like a landmark for this school. Tourists should come just to see this. If I stay in this room, it will lead to my doom. The smell will eventually take me out. The room might lead me to my tomb. This was a fantastic class. I hope to come back again.
