Food Technology Trip To Borough Market
BackThis week we had a Festive Food Technology trip to Borough Market. We walked through the market taking in the different aromas and wonderful sites of the many different delicacies on offer at Borough Market. Each student was given the chance to try something new and different. It was a wonderful day even though it was cold and wet the students did not let that bother them and still made the most of this wonderful opportunity.
Student Feedback:
The year 9 group had the opportunity to visit borough market. This was a very nice experience where we could explore and taste food from various countries and cultures, the school helped fund this by giving £5 to each student (thanks a lot).
Borough Market opened in 1851 and has a very long history. It is owned by a charity board meant for people to show their talents and sell stuff for money to support their family, it could also be known as a side job for many people or a hobby.-Raphael
Borough Market had different cuisines from multiple different cultures and the aroma was amazing. We tried different foods including Kara-Age from Japan. It tasted really good and it consisted of sticky rice and Japanese fried chicken. – Hanna
It was a really nice time and we learned a lot about eating things. Leo

Borough market was such a fun experience, I would really recommend going in your own time as its very close to London bridge. They had a variety of international food and even though it's quite expensive I think most of the food there is worth it.-Tirzah
Borough Market was a great experience and would recommend it although it is fairly expensive. There is a variety of foods to choose from and a lot of viral tik tok foods as well. The people there are really nice and welcoming when you don’t know where to go. I even got a free scoop of ice cream. I would recommend the chocolate strawberries as they are very delicious but are expensive.I would definitely go again but with more money next time so I can try more things. -Tyler
Borough Market was such an amazing experience for me. The aroma was exemplary and there were so many different foods to try from. There were lots of people and there was a particular food stall that so many people were instantly attracted to. There were different countries from all around the world selling food. The only problem though is that it’s really expensive so to really enjoy yourself you need at least £50. Other than that it was a great day and it is a place I would recommend to anyone. -Divine
